MANHATTAN — Last week's snowstorm may have missed Manhattan, but another winter weather maker is expected to hit the city with as much as a foot of snow Tuesday night.

The storm, which is currently bringing snow to parts of the midwest, will move into New York late Tuesday and throughout the day Wednesday bringing at least six inches to the city, meteorologists said.

Temperatures will hover near freezing on Wednesday and blustery conditions could make for nasty driving and travel conditions, according to the National Weather Service.

The storm will not be as big as the one that buried the mid-Atlantic in three feet of snow in some places, but it is stacking up to make a mess of Manhattan just the same.
