MANHATTAN — Disgraced political anchor Dominic Carter is out of jail after serving 19 days for attempted assault, New York magazine reported on Friday.

The former NY1 "Road to City Hall" anchor was sentenced to a month in jail on Jan. 14 after being found guilty of attacking his wife in an October 2008 fight, but he was released early for good behavior.

“This is all behind me now,” Carter told New York. “I'm writing a new chapter in my life.”

Carter will have to attend therapy and take a course on domestic violence, New York reported.
